Yeah a lot of them have switched over to Instagram...which Facebook conveniently owns.

I wouldn't say they're "dropping" it as much as their preference is for other services like Snapchat and Instagram (owned by FB).

FB is certainly not immune to dying out over time - but there will always be a social networking service that is most popular.

Yeah, but people kept going on with "no it's not...", but now the evidence is becoming pretty solid. FB will soon be as relevant as Geocities, MySpace and others now long forgotten.

AOL is around only because Verizon got their mitts on it and now has turned both it and Yahoo into vast data mining machines.

What is your point in relation to this forum? Are you implying that it is politically-motivated?

Older people are actually better users in a way as they have more money and income versus teenagers so they are more valuable to advertisers.

As a business i'd rather have people with money to spend on products and services.

The pace of technology these days is such that teenagers view FB as an "old people" platform. It's the cassette deck of social media, maybe even the 8-track.

Yup -- Facebook peaked for kids years ago -- it's for old old folks now.

You might want to check that Snap Chat thing -- It's been the 'hot new item' for a few years now.
