I think one of the main differences between liberals and conservatives is that liberals don't need every decision to directly benefit them.

what the CPFB has done

You can ignore the 1st point, but just read the others. Do you really consider those things to be bad?

They were not interested in the "consumer".

The dude has not held any of the legally mandated meetings, and has effectively tried to stop all the work the group does.

He has gone and stopped investigations into lenders that charge 900%+ interest rates because they gave him donations.
He has literally said that he will not speak to lobbyists who do not give him money.

Mulvaney is up there with Pruitt and Pai as in it solely for his bottom line, at the expense of all Americans. The R by his name stands for Repugnant, not Republican.
+1!

Do the people who are so upset about this think there weren’t enough consumer protections 6 years ago before there was the CFPB?
How did we ever survive?
Do they think Payday loans weren’t regulated?
Do they think there weren’t prosecutions against unscrupulous businesses?

People seem to forget that the CFPB was created with bipartisan agreement. They also missed the actions against Wells Fargo and pay day lenders. The fact that they felt this agency is useless isn’t supported by their history.

Love Mulvaney! If you've ever seen him in action in press briefings, he doesn't suffer fools (aka presstitutes) gladly.
