Both parties force ordinary people to pay most of the taxes, while allowing the ultra-rich to pay less. The rich get their money from investments and capital gains, which are taxed at a lower rate than your income is taxed. Warren Buffett famously said that he pays a lower effective tax rate than his secretary. And don’t forget how much tax money was given to the big banks to bail them out. You paid for the natural consequences of their irresponsible behavior.
