Democrats knew that the $15 minimum wage they pushed to get their uneducated base to vote for them
would end up costing the duped their jobs.

doesn't steal, works 24hrs with complaining, and he is tax deductible 24hr burger joint that's 3 humans kicked to the curbMAGAKAGA

This was happening with or without a fifteen dollar minimum wage.

Someone has to code that robot.

Coding is the new manufacturing job -- if we start at kids in elementary school -- they will be ready to code by high school.

I will say this, if they get this, all prices will climb...if restaurants will have to pay their employees, this kind of money, all prices will go up, and it will be a ripple effect, meaning everything goes up....so

It’ll be fun to see your reaction when your job is replaced by a robot and you are thrown out onto the street.

Correct.

Unfortunately, much like manufacturing, coding has been going overseas too.

$15 an hour doesn`t get you 30K a year. I was hired as a steelworker in 1972 and the plant had 3,200 employees. When I left in 2006 they were down to 900. If the steelworkers would have agreed to freeze their pay at the 1972 level does someone actually think there would still be 3,200 workers there? Technology happens in all industries or they are gone.

$15 an hour? Honestly thats not that much money. Median rent is $981 in the us. Take home in my state (Oregon) at that rate would be about 899 every other week.

So over half your income would go to rent. at $15/hr.

What reason is there to believe corporations would keep coding jobs here when they can have 'coding centers' in India and China for far less $$$?
