Is chocolate milk or no sugar added juice really that much unhealthier than regular milk?

If anything, milk is unhealthier than unsweetened fruit juice in many respects. But of course, the dairy industry has the government by the nuts.

In any case, I'm against these regulations. Parents should be responsible for parenting their own spawn.

Under a bill advancing in the Capitol, restaurants could offer only water or milk with meals marketed for children. Not soda. Not juice. Not chocolate milk.

Those sugary drinks would still be available, at no extra cost, but only upon request. They couldn’t be advertised alongside kids’ meals or offered as a default option. If the bill becomes law, cashiers would ask customers ordering a Happy Meal at McDonald’s, for instance, if they want water, milk or a non-dairy substitute like almond milk. California would become the first state in the nation with such a requirement.

Twelve states have a life expectancy of 80 years of age or older.

Utah is the only one that is a red state - - and a good number of them follow a religion that doesn't allow for soda.

California has the third highest life expectancy behind Hawaii and Minnesota.

These things don't happen in a vacuum.

First place in the world to ban public smoking. Early adopters of mandatory seatbelts and no cellphones while driving.

You think it's just the great genes of Californians that makes for longevity? Is that why the rest of the country cares so much about all the Mexicans and Central Americans coming into the state - - worried that their superior genes will make Californians live longer?

Funny how nannying can lead to longer and healthier lives.

It's kind of ridiculous but you can still order a soda for your kid. No need to cry about it online.

Good job. 8 oz with 11 grams is indeed loaded. Thanks for looking up the stats.
