The word "rape" is not even used in the article. "Sexual assault" can mean any number of things. We have no idea what specific crimes he committed and therefore no means of assessing whether or not his sentence is just.
.
Yep. If he was Black or Hispanic, it would be much easier to assess, Wouldn’t it?

This is a valid point. The article does NOT mention rape anywhere in the article. Now it does mention that he had a slew of charges filed against him including felony sexual assault which would lead one to believe that 3 years wasn't a valid sentence but you can also blame this on the prosecution for agreeing to the plea deal.
Oh man. Talk about privilege! Conviction for 3 rapes, and you get 3 years?
Yeah, that would be be a ridiculously light sentence for three rapes, but the article doesn't actually say he raped anyone. It refers to "sexual assaults", which is a much broader term that encompasses things that are less serious than rape.

Maybe you should read the victim’s statements. Quite harrowing.
Quote:
One victim said in her impact statement, "Part of me died in order to survive that night with him and that part of me will never grow back,"
Yeah, no big deal. Sounds like he barely touched her.
Liberal sentencing policies and judges at their finest.
Yep. Madison, WI. Very liberal city. Rape/sexual assault just simply isn't that much of a crime to them. /shrug
