This is a valid point. The article does NOT mention rape anywhere in the article. Now it does mention that he had a slew of charges filed against him including felony sexual assault which would lead one to believe that 3 years wasn't a valid sentence but you can also blame this on the prosecution for agreeing to the plea deal.

Yeah, that would be be a ridiculously light sentence for three rapes, but the article doesn't actually say he raped anyone. It refers to "sexual assaults", which is a much broader term that encompasses things that are less serious than rape.
