Also don't we have tech that emits sound waves that make people feel sick? Imagine precision turrets that do that? Without being lethal.

I would agree but as poster 2 said, d’s could and would shut it off.
No its not, it greatly limits the places to cross.
Right now there is almost 2000 miles of border that can be crossed.
Even if they build tunnels under a wall/fence, there will still only be an extremely limited number of places to cross. Of course tech can help detect tunneling.
There is so much opposition to the wall because it will be so effective, and much more permanent of a solution.

It doesn't matter. The Dems will not approve of or vote for anything short of open borders. There is no compromise on this issue and there shouldn't be. We need to know if we have a country or we don't. Then we can make our own decisions on what to do about it.

Theres also a limit to the type of tunnels they can detect.
For all we know, the cartels could have deep tunnels big enough for trucks to drive thru, keep in mind, they still must ship ALOT of product and people into the country somehow, Im sure there is a lot of planning that goes into this, but they have an unlimited budget too (that is not something even the US can say!)
