Again we do not protect functionaries against the citizenry. There is no credible threat against Sanders. If you don't like the heat in the kitchen don't take a job there.

Every politician is subject to public derision comes with the job. Short of a direct threat there is no excuse for public-ally funded body guards. And the members of the house have a much better case than Sanders.

Amen to that.

really? considering that she was already tossed out of a restaurant, and considering that other conservatives have also been harassed in public, this becomes necessary. especially since you have no clue if there is a credible threat against sanders or not, since you are not part of the secret service.

Did Bill Clinton's or Barack Obama's press secretary have or need SS? If not it goes to show that the conservatives are not vindictive and dangerous.
With as many lies as Bill and Barrack told as did their press secretary, if conservatives were as radical as liberals are they would have needed 24/7 protection too.

WOW, the left agrees that she needs this because of "the left."

Amazing.....no not really, but they are telling the truth, whether they know it or not.....

Kidnappers.
Maybe they should turn themselves in for the safety of a jail cell.

kidnappers are criminals, so yes they should be in a nice safe jail cell for life.

The restaurant owner--or any other business owner--has the right to discriminate against ANYONE, for ANY reason, including race, gender, religion, etc. Without that natural right of free association we may as well be the collectivist U.S.S.R.

Well first of all, if you'd read any article about the incident, you'd know that the owner who ejected Sanders was a "she", not a "he". So not really sure how closely you know the details of this incident.

I hate the fact that any government official needs security...unfortunately, if you want any good people to run for office, given the level of vitriol, hate and potential violence present with those who disagree with others these days, it's a necessity.

Soon we'll have posted liberal restaurants where conservatives won't be allowed in and/or served. Perhaps we could have a separate section for them way in the back, away from the other more enlightened patrons. Hmmm, that almost sounds like a place we've been before and thought we'd left behind....but I guess not. The more things change, the more they stay the same it seems.

If you don't think like me politically, get the hell out of here, there is obviously something seriously wrong with you, and my like minded "friends" and I will get up close and personal in your face to prove it, as is the advice from Rep. Maxine Waters.

We hit a new low every day it seems.
