Wow, seems like the rates just keep going up and will likely skyrocket even more because of the body positive movement.
Seems like morbid obesity is now very trendy and chic across America.
No matter where I reside seems like few go outside except seniors these days.
Interesting, how the claim that eating healthy is very expensive.
Bags of frozen veggies are like 85 cents at the superstore near me, while a burger, fries and soda at fast-food restaurant are $8.50 or more in many cases plus tax.
I do hate the fat acceptance movement. People think there is “healthy fat”. Mflugga’ no there isn’t! No we should not shame them, but we should not enable. I use to be chubby before. Changed habits and it made a difference. It is tough to find the time to cool. But if your gonna get a quick meal, grab a banana from AM/PM if you have to. Not a chocolate donut or egg burrito..
GASP!!!.....you can't post this or anything like it (even though it's true) because you've just FAT SHAMED WOMEN!! (dunt-dunt-dahhhh (dramatic music)).
Haven't you heard?...now there are fat cow models and "plus sized" centerfolds who are trying to convince society that obesity can be beautiful. Ummm...no. Not only is it unpleasing to look at fat rolls, stretch marks and jelly flab but it is unhealthy.
Same for men but there is no campaign out there pushing fat men as desirable or something to be admired. Quite the contrary....fat men are the butt of jokes and to be laughed at if not outrightly denigrated & insulted but fat women are never supposed to be called out on their weight or laughed about because it may cause "body image" issues. Another double standard added to the long running list....

There is definitely healthy fat. I look better fat. I'm 5'10 and at 120 lbs my face looks skeletal, but at 130 lbs, I actually have cheeks.
Unfortunately for me, it's difficult for me to keep weight on.
All of those obese people are shortening their lifespans, so they'll be meeting Fat Jesus a lot sooner and there'll be more Social Security money for us old skinny people!
Let me guess OP. You're a man. How easy it is to judge when you don't have the disadvantages of higher body fat, pregnancies, shorter stature, and fat storing hormones already in place.

Yep. The stereotype of the man tearing into a steak and the little lady meekly nibbling on a salad isn't there for no reason.
