I should note.....the laws in other parts of the world are none of my business until we clean our own backyard up first.

Roe v. Wade had nothing t do with Gosnell, since what he did was illegal.

As far as infanticide is concerned:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infanticide#United_States

"In the United States the infanticide rate during the first hour of life outside the womb dropped from 1.41 per 100,000 during 1963 to 1972 to 0.44 per 100,000 for 1974 to 1983; the rates during the first month after birth also declined, whereas those for older infants rose during this time.[130] The legalization of abortion, which was completed in 1973, was the most important factor in the decline in neonatal mortality during the period from 1964 to 1977, according to a study by economists associated with the National Bureau of Economic Research."

I don't disagree.

A legal abortion would not be included in those numbers but the end result would be the same.

Gosnell was not a gynecologist. He had no training in the performance of abortion. He also employed people who did not have the appropriate training to assist him.

His facility and equipment was in appalling condition.

His "horror story" in no way reflects the way other abortion clinics are run. Attempts to portray him as a typical abortion provider are ludicrous, and no one who is pro-choice supports Gosnell in any form or fashion whatsoever.

A large part of the blame lies with a governmental bureaucracy that refused to heed warnings about him. He could have been stopped a decade sooner than he was if people in the public health community had done their jobs properly.

You may try to equate abortion with infanticide but it is not the same, and that quote contradicts your claim that Roe V. Wade did not reduce infanticide.

We should ask ourselves why he wasn't.

No, we should ask the state of Pennsylvania why he wasn't.

Infanticide is an ancient practice.

Infanticide dropped in the US after Roe v. Wade.

From the link I gave previously:

"The legalization of abortion, which was completed in 1973, was the most important factor in the decline in neonatal mortality during the period from 1964 to 1977, according to a study by economists associated with the National Bureau of Economic Research."

Sorry about the fact you are unable to distinguish between stop and drop.
