The incumbent didn't care. Now he can become a lobbiest. Her energy may have a positive impact if it lights a fire underneath other incumbemts.

I know Canadian citizens and they say the quality of care isn’t too great in their experience .
I don’t think these other counties are better than America .
You earn six figures in America , do you think you’d have the potential to earn that same amount in these other countries ?
Also if you can earn that much but you want to pay more in taxes for other people , you are saying that for some reason you are capable of earning a high wage but others are not?

Because she herself stated in an interview (I believe with The Intercept) that she was specifically bothered by white men in power, and that her candidacy was in fact in some sense about race. I think this was taking the low road while assuming the moral high-ground; it's just a nonstarter for me. I want to see ethnic diversity come about as a consequence of merit-based opportunity, not due to a fervent desire to settle scores (either real or imagined) based on immutable characteristics. We deny one another's individuality in the course of pursuing those kinds of victories, and that renders the wins far less noble in the long-term.

My wife and I are both six figure earners as well and we are not willing to pay more. We're already crushed in taxes as it is in NYC for other safety net programs (that we don't qualify for btw) and we are not interested in paying for subsidized, low quality full coverage universal health care. Something needs to be done to improve the affordability ...yes, but just raising taxes and throwing money at the current system isn't the way to get it done imo.
