That they should retaliate to give us a pause concerning our unjustifiable actions.

What would you suggest the US do to improve all the impoverish countries in the world? Pour more money into the pockets of crooked politicians.

The US didn't have anything to do with the civil war in Syria, which started in 2011, so you saying 'HE' meaning Trump is a lie.

Protecting our borders is unjustified?

It's been decades since we have done that.

Countries like Iran and Afghanistan are third would countries and will be a third world countries for like forever. We have poured millions in aid into more third counties then any other country without much to show for US generosity. Rich countries like Germany, Japan and France have done little in comparison. Russia and China have done nothing.

I believe in fair trade unlike uninformed liberal. For example Germany poses a 10% tariff on American autos while the US only imposes 5% on German autos...what the hay is fair about that? Canada floods the US with cheap lumber while American saw mills shut down or are brought up by Canadian interest who in turn ship our logs overseas.
We have a 25% tariff on light trucks though...Germany doesnt.

US development aid is 0.15% of GDP or $95 per person.

Here is the list:

If we are expected to take in half the world's population, then those countries from which the refugees are coming should agree to be administered by Americans as colonies.

We absolutely flattened Japan and Germany as someone earlier mentioned, and those countries were administered with US help from a number of years after. Today they are powerhouses.

So whatabout it, all you #refugeeswelcome types? Also, WE did not create the Syrian civil war. And WE did not create the El Salvadorian civil war. We took sides, which is of course an argument to stay out of future conflicts, but I've been seeing a lot of mixed messages too these days criticizing the US' seeming retreat into isolationism. Usually from the same types who traditionally have stated that US actions "destabilize" countries when we get involved in their internal conflicts.

Seems like people like the US to intervene when things end up turning out OK, but not when they don't. As if we can operate foreign policy with 20/20 hindsight.

Having said that, the best thing we can do is encourage people to solve their own problems. The people of countries like El Salvador must insist that they deserve better, and work together to improve their nation. United we stand, divided we fall. It's applicable in every nation.
We sorta helped that problem along in El Salvador.

What can you say about an entire nation that feel codependent
Blaming themselves for all the problems of the world instead of those that caused them
