Funny since it's your "news" sources that are doing it 24x7. Is it the crocodile tears over it, or is it the fact that they didn't care when Obama was president? Or is it just that in spite of the bad press Trumps approval ratings continue to improve?

Trump isn't propelling this into the news. Your liberal "news" sources are doing it to attack Trump, after completely ignoring the situation when Obama was president. Obama puts kids in cages and your liberal media does nothing. Trump gets elected and suddenly photos from the Obama era of kids in cages surface and you blame Trump.

What should bother you is how so-called journalists manufacture "news" to push their (and your) political agenda. I bet that doesn't bother you at all though.

Millions of American citizens have their children "ripped away from them" when they commit crimes.

We send them to prison and as a result, separate families. Should we stop doing that? Their children cry too.

Immigration is acutely important. If the illegal aliens residing in the US are given the vote, it's game over for the right. Then a PRI system gets instituted in the US and we have a corrupt, softly authoritarian pseudo-democracy that's in like flint.

Immigration is no threat to the ruling class. Neither is the Russia thing. Neither is guns, abortion or banging on about "white privilege" etc. The ruling class is very comfortable about all of these things, so thats what's beamed to the people.

Talk about how big money totally corrupts our political system though...That talking head would get fired on the spot.
This is what is the topic they are all tip toeing around.

Why do you use this as an example? It’s apples to oranges. If someone commits a crime, their child is not ripped from them. The child is normally with the other parent or relatives in a familiar home. That is not the same as our govt taking Kids and putting them in foster care or indefinite detention.

I’m for border security but snatching Kids is not the solution

Yes I’m thinking it’s a distraction too. Seems astro-turfy. Kinkos doing good business making up all those signs. I can’t help but wonder why those people aren’t home knitting beer can hats to sell on Etsy.

If Trump doesn't keep the immigration issue going he will start losing his base.
This is why he keeps mentioning MS-13 gangs like they are some sort of major national security threat and the need for his wall that Mexico is not paying for.
Fear mongering works well for the GOP
Remember the Iraq war and Saddam's WMD's?

Yes, it's awful. Yes, it's heartless. I'm not so sure it's a result of stupidity and lack of foresight, though - it might just be a ploy both to scare away illegals and to make any slightly less cruel policy more palatable.

But, apart from that, yes, we're talking about maybe 3,000 children, a few thousand families, non-citizens, who, yes, are treated horribly - but it seems to me that we have far greater things requiring our attention. Shouldn't much more attention be paid to black citizens, actual American citizens, 30,000,000 of them, who are in danger of being snapped up or mowed down by policemen?

And, beyond that, does anyone else suspect that most of what Trump is propelling into the news is really intended as a distraction from his real dangers, like the Mueller investigation?

Trump's distractions are just like a quiver of arrows. If one misses the target or causes only a small injury, he draws another. After all, if you suddenly suffer a minor wound, it will thoroughly distract you for awhile, from the major problems that threaten you and your country.

It's been almost two years and there's still no evidence Russia hacked the election.

Yet the DNC threw ballots in the trash, flipped votes from Trump to Hillary, and pretends it never happened.

Nothing the corporations like more than cheap labor without benefits or even basic worker rights like workers' compensation etc.

Funny to see so many people here supporting these on-shoring efforts to suppress the wages of the working poor and exploit foreign workers....under the guise of being somehow humanitarian.

We need a legal guest worker program like Canada has.
