If you can find one, may I suggest a 13 star flag?

I couldn't care less about "our" nation's flag, as I prefer individual liberty and property rights.

Does that mean I'm a leftist?

Don't take the advice of a leftist, as their views are warped, especially when it comes to patriotism, tradition, respect for the country, etc.
Flying the flag upside down is not appropriate except in rare circumstances. It is certainly not the thing to do just because you do not like this countries president.

Well, if a mother-in-law is telling you to fly a flag, maybe you should listen to her.

Same here. There are many others in our neighborhood who will be doing the same and the sentiment seems to be spreading. I know this will be interpreted as "unpatriotic" by the Trump police on this board but I've never cared about their opinions anyway so it won't bother me one bit. Patriotism comes in many forms and Trump supporters by no means have the corner on it regardless of how much they think they do.

I know they will chastise, deride, or whatever other nastiness they employ in their attempts to silence those who do not share their passion for their leader and his wannabe authoritarian regime. In my opinion it's the Trump supporters who are anti-American. They willingly surrender to the will of one man. That's the very antithesis of what this country stands for.

I fly the Revolutionary War era Grand Union Flag or the Continental Colors. No one has co-opted that, it cannot really be said to be a political statement, its the first flag of the US before the 13 star flag (plus I am of British colonial era heritage and 20 of my ancestors fought in the on the patriot side Revolutionary War in the Southern Campaign, and 2 of my ancestors were British Tories).

We survived 8 years of Obama. Our suffering is finally over and our country, thankfully, is still here.

Calm down

The founding fathers fought for this country. Right now, in what is one of the country's lowest points, true American patriots need to continue to fight for it.

I'll fly my flag, but it will not be for Donald Trump or the cult. It will be for my country.
Flying the US flag is never for the President, whomever they might be. It's always for country.
