All Trump’s tariffs will greatly hurt American farmers. China is retaliating, as well as other countries. Lobsters, soybeans, milk, corn, cheese—all of these products will receive retalitory tariffs from other countries. I do look forward to the price of lobsters being greatly reduced in US restaurants because they will have tariffs abroad. Yummy, yummy, I’ll think of the stupes who voted for Trump with every delicious bite.

I hope those stupid farmers and fishermen who voted for Trump will soon enough realize their mistake, especially those cheese heads in Wisconsin, who helped the Devil Incarnate (Trump) get elected. They will pay for their vote for Trump with their income being vastly reduced. Trump the “Business Man.” What a joke!

Lol, what?? The US is demonstrating it's leadership by standing up for fairer trade policies. That's what leadership is.

Leaders don't sit back and let people walk all over them.

Fixed that for ya.

A true leader would be interested in working with our allies, not against them. The US is currently demonstrating that it shouldn’t be trusted.

as a negotiator for most of my career, trump has been **** poor in his strategy. he challenged several countries on trade at once. he should have challenged one country at a time. he has the whole trading world against him now so has no negotiating room. these trade wars will not end well for the US.

They truly think the USA can "go it alone". The truth is anything but. We will be left holding out goods to sell and the former buyers will say "nope, I can get it elsewhere from a reliable partner".

Mentioning Don the Con and leadership in the same sentence or paragraph should be verboten. I lived within a few miles of his "leadership" in Atlantic City, NJ...scorched earth!

He was such a great "business man" that even he went completely broke (personally - let alone all his Casinos) as a result of his actions.

Such is the story of his life. If he invested his inheritance in Buffets stock he'd have 180 Billion dollars. If he invested it in the S&P he'd have 6-8 Billion. Yet he ended up ripping off thousands....well, millions really (taxpayers)...and ends up with about 3.

That's called "loser" in my book...

We gave China over 500 BILLION last year. Bill Clinton has made them beyond rich. No more gravy train China. Bush and Obama did not stop this. Thank you Donald Trump. You ARE for us. You are making America great again. Our prayers are answered.

You seem like you might be one of Trump's people who believes that Canada imposes a 270% tariff on USA dairy.

Of course. Trump is demanding that Canada and Mexico agree to a "sunshine clause" for NAFTA. Canada and Mexico have tried to explain to Trump that there's already a re-negotiation clause in the agreement. Specifically, any party can request a re-negotiation at any time with a 6 month notice. There's no reason to add a 5 year notice, it's redundant. Furthermore, it creates instability in industry because they can't plan beyond five years.

Trump agreed to G7 decisions before he left the summit, then had a tantrum because Trudeau refused to scrap the 270% tariff on subsidized, over-quota dumping of USA milk in Canada. Trump's word, and that of the The White House, is worth nothing.

This has nothing to do with China. The EU, Canada, Mexico, and China have imposed severe tariffs on the USA in the last week. This can't end well for the USA. If The White House retaliates by increasing tariffs, the EU, Canada, Mexico, and China will retaliate again.

China is forming an Asian block. That could mean global retaliation against the USA, a battle started and escalated by Trump. His only friends will be Russia and North Korea.
