We all saw the shameful press conference with trump sucking up to Putin, believing him OVER his own National Intelligence team.
This disgusting behavior and his dispicable comments beg this bigger question:

Exactly. And, because Trump requested nobody else be in the room, there is no official transcript. The American people will never know what was discussed.
When a US president trusted his intelligence agencies. Resulted in:
* 4,486 American soldiers deaths
* thousands of American soldiers seriously hurt for life
* hundreds of thousands of civilian deaths in Iraq
* over 6 Trillion in taxpayers money
* Made the region unstable and made our #1 enemy in the region Iran, bolder and stronger.
First of all the intelligence agencies did not send the troops to the middle east, the Bush Administration did. And the Bush Administration loaded with neocons fabricated and exaggerated evidence that the intelligence agencies gave them and lied about the WMD's. The Neocons had a long term plan to have the US occupy territory in the middle east. 9/11 was the excuse. The intelligence agencies could not confirm the WMD's existed but also count not confirm they did not exist. That was good enough for Bush to go to war there.
Powell played an intercept of a conversation between Iraqi army officers about the U.N. inspections. However, when he translated what they were saying, he knowingly embellished it, turning it from evidence Iraq was complying with U.N. resolutions to evidence Iraq was violating them.
