He is a highly trained and effective former KGB operative. He knows exactly what he is doing and he has Trump wrapped around his pinky.

Maybe his performance will get some of the Trump Republicans to stop dancing in the end zone like they won something. If Putin's goal is to isolate America from the rest of the world, he made plenty of head way this week.

This is the fallback excuse for fans of Trump for the last 17 and a half months. What a stupid strategy for a grown up.

What a stupid strategy for a grown up in charge of thre USA.

Putin had a smirk on his face the whole time during the press conference. He has played Trump like the fool he is. I bet Putin never in his wildest dreams thought he would get such a rube as US President.

"Door's open, walk right in! Here, let me help you!" - Trump to Putin.

"Door's open, walk right out! Here, let us help you!" - American patriots to Trump.

He also agreed to work with us on the airliner that was shot down over Ukraine, not much help.

One thing that I think people overlook is that this was more about Putin being anti-Hillary than pro-Trump.

With the protesters accusing Putin of having rigged recent elections, the Russian leader pointed an angry finger at Clinton, who had issued a statement sharply critical of the voting results. “She said they were dishonest and unfair,” Putin fumed in public remarks, saying that Clinton gave “a signal” to demonstrators working “with the support of the U.S. State Department” to undermine his power. “We need to safeguard ourselves from this interference in our internal affairs,” Putin declared.
I mean, I'm not at all defending Trump, but you can certainly see how and why Putin would feel justified in messing with our elections.
