That said - Republicans are speaking out against him in droves right now. NOT that will mean anything by tomorrow.

Hannity will have the spin ready by tonight.

We still have neocons in the Republican party from the Bushes doctrine that like nothing better to continue with endless wars, endless occupations, open borders and globalism and the new world order and they see Russia as their excuse to continue with business as usual and spend trillions of dollars on defense.

the voters in the GOP rejected the Bush doctrine but you still have many in the swamp in D.C.

No, and I and the millions of voters didn't know, either.

It is not just the FBI. It is every intelligence service of the US. These Trump loyalists are blind to reality. They will defend and enable everything Trump does no matter what it is. It is bizarre behaviour on their part. The cult analogy may not be that far off the mark.

Interesting point. But why would he choose not to lie about that when he lied about everything else?

Great question.

What a time we're living in... Where the President of the United States will go against his own internal agencies in favor of Russia.

Seriously, go back 5 years and envision this scenario playing out. No one would have thought something like this would ever happen.

Out of Trump sons mouths - as I said upthread after which I was accused of being partisan - FOLLOW THE MONEY:

"In terms of high-end product influx into the US, Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets," Donald Trump Jr. said at a New York real-estate conference that year. "Say, in Dubai, and certainly with our project in SoHo, and anywhere in New York. We see a lot of money pouring in from Russia."

"I said, 'Eric, who’s funding? I know no banks — because of the recession, the Great Recession — have touched a golf course. You know, no one’s funding any kind of golf construction. It’s dead in the water the last four or five years,'” the writers told WBUR.

"And this is what he said. He said, 'Well, we don’t rely on American banks. We have all the funding we need out of Russia.'

The cheeto's relationship with Russia goes back quite far in time.
Or, are the Trump.an.zees going to say the kids don't know what they're talking about?

Fox News’ Neil Cavuto called the press conference “disgusting," while his colleague Stuart Varney added, “It was not a very forceful presentation from President Trump with Putin standing right next to him. Not forceful at all.”

Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro called Trump’s performance “self-serving and utterly grotesque,” before declaring Trump “made a fool of himself.” The BBC’s headline simply stated, “Trump sides with Russia against FBI.”

Conservative strategist Chris Barron tweeted, “Not pleased with Trump's Putin press conference. Doesn't feel like America First.”
Uh-oh. When even Fox is abandoning their whole-sale support of the president, it's not a good sign.
