While people focus on the U.S. with regards to the environment, China continues blowing out the ozone layer.

China is leaking banned, ozone-killing chemicals: watchdog

The Environmental Investigation Agency claims China’s construction industry is using CFC-11, a banned ozone-depleting chemical, as a cheap blowing agent to manufacture hard foam for commercial and residential buildings.

...
The EIA claims to have found evidence of at least 18 companies using the banned chemical in the majority of their foam-production operations. The claims have not been independently verified.

The EIA says several Chinese construction executives openly acknowledged the use of CFC-11 last month, saying it was easy to avoid lax enforcement efforts by the Chinese government.

Sad. They are also the worlds largest hacker. You hear virtually nothing about this. If the msm could stop with 24/7 trump hate, maybe they could consider other serious issues.

Comparative advantage.

If Country A can produce cheaper Salad Shooters than Country B by using dangerous chemicals and slave labor, then the world benefits. Who wants to live in a world where people are forced to buy expensive goods from Country B, which has expensive labor and environmental regulations?

I don’t want a world with good labor conditions and a clean environment. That’s too expensive. We need strong neoliberal policies that reward labor repression and environmental pollution. That’s the way to make the world a better place.

Any alternative to Neoliberalism is Protectionism, and Protectionism is evil.
