Your crowd constantly moans that any increase or any minimum wage will be a precursor of ruination, especially in the QSR category, yet here is CFA doing it and humming along just fine.
LOL
No doubt that CFA location is in an expensive part of California (San Fran etc.) and thus about the highest cost of living area in the US.
You're conflating that with arguments against a NATIONAL minimum wage that would impact places like Tinytown, Iowa where the cost of living is probably around 3x lower.
Hope this helps you understand where your logic train jumped the tracks, rolled over and burst into flames. There were no survivors.
We want wages to increase. But we want them to increase naturally, not artificially. When wages increase naturally, it is because the businesses are doing well. Then we all win.
They only increases wages when they have no choice. If government sets the wage standard then that’s the cost of doing business, and if that means paying workers a living wage, in exchange for being permitted to do business in that community, then they will do it because they will still do well and make a profit.
We the people, not corporations should be able to set the standards of how business is conducted. That’s why laws exist, creating an equal playing field where everyone competes respecting labor rights, the environment, and the wishes of the local community.
Psssst... sweetie... you need to actually read to know it's taken from a NEW YORK TIMES article.
So in other words, it's like taking a 1982 Chateau Margeaux and filtering it through a sweat sock from a pro basketball player before you drink it. Why not just link to NYT if you want to be believed?

Yes. That is what it means to increase naturally. Market forces cause the shift in wages. They are not artificially shifted by the government. That would be the opposite of “natural”. When the government adds new expenses to businesses, some of them can afford it and some cant. The ones that cant, go out of business and everyone is out of a job. Or maybe they look for ways to do it with less employees. If a business is doing so well that they need to pay more to get and retain employees, that is ideal. That is the way it is supposed to work. The owner is happy. The employees are happy.
