America has undergone enormous change during the nearly eight decades of my life. Today, America is a bitterly divided, poorly educated and morally fragile society with so-called mainstream politicians pushing cynical identity politics, socialism and open borders. The president of the United States is threatened with impeachment because the other side doesn’t like him. The once reasonably unbiased American media has evolved into a hysterical left wing mob. How could the stable and reasonably cohesive America of the 1950s have reached this point in just one lifetime? Who are the main culprits? Here’s my list of the 10 most destructive Americans of the last 80 years.

Socialism is the state ownership of major industries. No one is pushing for state ownership of major industries.

Jerry Falwell would be my #1. He did more damage to this country in the 1980s and 1990s than anybody else I can think of. The culture war is entirely his creation. If not for Falwell, religion and politics would still be separate and I doubt there would be anywhere near the level of hate and polarization in our culture that we see today.

LMAO @ Mark Felt being number 8.

Once he said that, I knew it would go downhill from there. He’s still pyssed that Nixon got caught presiding over the most corrupt presidential administration in history.

Don’t waste your time on this link. This guy has spent 80 years being delusional.

When you see comments like: "after his three faked Purple Hearts during his cowardly service in Vietnam...." you know you are reading some seriously biased BS.

This idiot actually puts Mark Felt on the list, but not Richard Nixon.

I did not follow the link because, well, I just don't do that.

But if LBJ isn't on the list, then it is utterly meaningless.

I disagree with Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin placement on this list.

I also have doubts about a couple of other names - stupidity & ignorance/arrogance don't really rise to the level of intentional destruction. Unintended Consequences are rampant.

A significant number on this list had a plan for Intentional Destruction -AND- left longterm significant serious problems.
