Who cares that Manafort bought an ostrich coat? Having bad taste isn't a crime. Just make him pay back taxes with a hefty fine on top and be done with this circus. Waste of taxpayer money.
Paying personal bills by international wire transfers, denying to the IRS that he had offshore bank accounts thus evading taxes, etc constitutes tax evasion, etc.
The prosecution is showing items Manafort paid for with unreported income i.e. paying his landscaper with an international wire transfer.
Manafort is a tax cheat, among other things.
I guess you’re OK with that. I’m not. We pay a lot of money in taxes and we abide by the law. I expect others to do the same.
People get arrested for spending their money on things every day if its illegal. Plus, that is what the trial is for right. Shame on you for not knowing that. Plus, why are you defending Manafort for, as if he would defend someone like you
He used all these offshore bank accounts and LLC’s to hide funds, nothing resembling a normal process. This prosecution team is experienced and top notch, I don’t see Manafort waiting until the end. I wonder if his ex-son-in-law will testify. Trial ends next week with or without his admission.
Obviously the prosecution has Manafort dead to rights. But couldn't one Trumpie on the jury cause a mistrial? I wonder how many individual charges there are.

Trump now says "17 Angry Democrats". If you are going to repeat his BS you need to stay up on when he changes things, which is often.
Manafort was jailed and his bond revoked because he broke the rules of that bond. He was put into solitary for his protection.
But, don't let facts get in your way!
You may be right on that score and I would not argue it however his the judge who revoked his bond has serious misgivings about the evidence. It was rare, and in point of fact, just an attempt by Muellers team to make a show imho.

His case is beyond paying a fine. We’re talking some serious money here and a pattern of purposeful deceit.
His case is not a “mistake”. That’s when you pay the back taxes, penalties, interest and all that.
They actually going to get what he is there for in regards to the investigation? So far it seems nothing more than an IRS issue, lol.

This trial in not about collusion it's about his lifestyle that he wanted to keep up with since he was going broke from all the expensive homes and things he bought and his Ukrainian money dried up. He was working for Trump for free and we know no one works for free so he sought out bank loans with false income documents and made promises of high level military position to the bank President.
