Sure this is what we want the president doing trading insults with a young NBA player, doesn't he have more important things to do.

It easy to send a tweet while you are eating or toileting or bedding, no time wasted at all.

And because it is so easy to sent out a tweet you don't have to add a lot of thought to your tweet. That is Trump's biggest problem, he doesn't know how to control his own mouth and it hurts him. It will be hard for Trump to woo 2020 black votes while tweeting out that Lebron James, Don Lemon, and Maxine Waters are all the stupidest people alive, etc...Even if it wasn't race based, it fits the left's narrative that he is a racist and millions are lapping it up.

If Trump had to tweet, he could have said:

"I respect Lebron's charitable work, but it was the NFL players continued kneeling during the anthem that created the divide, not those who found it offensive. My door is open for these players if they want to discuss issues and solutions."

Wouldn't that have been a hundred times more adult like than calling James an idiot and Lemon the stupidest man on TV?

Candidate Trump said he could work across the aisle and negotiate - he can't.

Trump is use to negotiating as a large-company against smaller companies that he can usually bully and walk away from if need be. A president needs to build a consensus - something Trump is struggling to do, because it is unnatural for him.

Interesting choice of words.

toileting-
assist or supervise (someone, especially an infant or invalid) in using a toilet.

Bedding...do you know what bedding is, Comrade?

speak for yourself......Hillary was the most war monger of ALL the candidates running in 2016 from both parties and a globalist open borders sellout. She sold out this country with her husband with NAFTA and she was going to double down with TPP if elected and she was going to double down on Obamacare.

for you to say Hillary was a better choice shows how clueless you are like James and have no clue why she lost Ohio and 30 states overall to a huge underdog.

If you and James think Hillary is a better choice, run her again in 2020....please do!

This kind of advice is years past its expiration date.

If the voters has wanted a scripted and "controlled" President, they would have elected Mitt Romney in 2012. They didn't because they don't.

Trump's honest, shoot-from-the-hip style helps him with a lot more people than not. The only ones it hurts him with are those who've long been with "the resistance" anyway. No loss there.

The very worst thing he could do is forget about and abandon what brought him this far. And that sure wasn't script and polish. For once, Americans are enjoying having a real person in the White House.

Keep up the good work, Mr. President!

LeBron is an enemy, so Trump should never respect LeBron.
And Trump doesn't use the nerdy language you just used, especially when he's tweeting to an enemy.

you are so disingenuous......Trump reached out to black athletes when he was elected to find solutions to better the black communities since black communities have a high unemployment rate, high crime rate and their public school system sucks. Those communities are managed by black democrats for decades. Whos only solution for blacks is to blame white america to expand the welfare state and keep them dependent forever so they can stay in power politically.

Some like Ray Lewis and Jim Brown and Steve Harvey met Trump at the Trump Tower and they were crucified by the left and labeled traitors and insulted in public in social media ........James refused to come and used his NBA platform and star status to bash the President and his supporters when Trump never attack him. It was personal for James every time he attacks Trump in public not on policy but as a person.

it's one thing for James to endorsed and campaigned for Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election, that's fine...which by the way the majority of his state of Ohio didn't agree with James.

but it's another thing to be a political hack and constantly attack the President and his supporters using the NBA platform and refuse to meet the President to better the same communities that he alleges to help and insult everybody that voted for Trump......James is NO ALI.....Seems like James is getting some bad advice and is part of the resistance movement that doesn't help at all the black communities.

Trump retaliates in 1 tweet and the left and media goes wild.

Interesting...

Usually conservatives tout all things charitable as if the answer to all our problems, like children failing or falling behind in school in this case, but I suppose this is to be expected along with all the other similarly dumb notions coming from that vast vacuum of truth. I mean, can we at least start with getting some of the basic facts understood before spouting off with misinformed statements?

"Instead, I Promise is a full-fledged part of Akron Public Schools, the 29th elementary school in the district. This helps keep the institution inclusive to its local student body.

It also raises questions about funding. Per the state of Ohio, Akron’s schools were given just $10,028 in state and local funds per student in 2016 — more than the statewide average, but still a relatively low figure for a city of a little under 200,000.

That’s not a lot of money to operate a school with such grand aspirations, which is where the LeBron James Family Foundation comes in. James’ nonprofit is the leader of a group of more than 120 donors, volunteers, and sponsors working to find the resources needed to keep exceptional educators on staff through a more demanding teaching schedule.

Since I Promise is a public school, that group also must have worked with Akron’s local teachers’ union to create a plan with which the coalition of teachers could agree. A quick look at the benefits available to those staffers shows the steps James and his cohort are making to attract and retain quality educators."
