"Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report used to be a big progressive. He even had a show with The Young Turks! But now he's not a progressive. He has left the left. Why? Dave Rubin shares his story."

This could also be under the "Walk Away" thread.

The moderate liberals vs progressives fight in the Democratic party is nothing new; and has been going on for eons.

The moderate liberals are the reason why California outlawed affirmative action in public sector (including universities admission), has a cap on property taxes, etc. All policies that are very unprogressive and out-do even some red states.

Come to any big liberal cities and you'll witness it first hand.

It's not unusual for a moderate liberal to contemplate leaving the Democratic party, but the thing is, come election time; they always come back and vote for the Democrats.

It is so bizarre to me how Americans talk about political affiliation as though it were religion.

Democracy is their religion and their party is their denomination.

It’s even more bizzare when Americans brag about wanting socialism.

Leaving the left, means joining - what?

* The party that wants to turn America into a fortress, literally and figuratively?

* The party that thinks that international institutions are something between a sham and tyranny?

* The party that believes that trade is a zero-sum game?

* The party that thinks that science is a bunch of political claptrap, and that "elites" are corrupt and mendacious charlatans?

Havent you posted this particular video before, just from the Youtube Channel and not the Prager U site itself.

Also, Dave Rubin destroys his own argument daily.

He is by definition, a blue bubble Libertarian who believes the rest of the world is as progressive as L.A. is.

Thats the basis of his arguments.
