Animal - derived insulin was developed in Canada 100 years ago. It became the global standard. In the 70’s a human gene derived insulin was developed and evolved to the standard in the US. Companies ceased producing animal- derived insulin for the US market.

Animal- derived insulin remains available in Canada and Europe and is a substantially lower costing alternative for many people.

My point is the free market, which includes marketing to MDs and consumers in the US, made animal- derived insulin obsolete in the US. The Federal Government did not ban animal- derived insulin.

I am not diabetic and don’t know what I am talking about as it relates to insulin. There’s likely advantages to human gene derived insulin for some patients. But if the patient can’t afford it.....

I am not tracking this.

Is the type of lens you need not available in the US?

Or do you prefer to order online from the UK because it’s cheaper.

How is that possible when so many on the left believe they should be paying the poor's bills? There should be plenty of the left's cheerfully donated money to go around.

Private charity is great but it is woefully inadequate to address crushing poverty.

It shouldn't be inadequate considering so many on the left think it's their responsibility to pay the poor's bills. Why aren't they giving more of their money to the poor?

How much do you donate extra to the military? Or perhaps you voluntarily choose to fight the wars you pine for, instead of donating extra money to the military budget??
