Ari Melber hit his show's highlights and said someone now wants to back out of plead deal but didn't say who
Listening to show on radio in car and not there yet
Nothing in headlines I saw
Any gossip out there as to who it is?
Low hanging fruit?

Who the hell is Ari Melber and why do we care about things he fabricated?
likely serve no more than six months in jail and face a fine between $500 to $9,500,
His wife is trying to convince him to fight it. If he makes that attempt, they will throw the book at him. Its a crime with a 5 year long sentence in federal prison. If he had a brain he would be trying to improve the deal to probation. But if you read the documentation on it, he lied a lot, and afterwards attempted to hide it all by closing his facebook account and creating a new one, and changing his cell number. He is not especially bright if he thought that would work.
Maybe she thinks Manafort will get off
Maybe someone offered George 15K a month if he will break his plea deal and take his chances in court
His wife has done a 180 based on her initial comments
That doesn't happen on its own...
Very odd to say the least. His wife put out an appeal for pro bono legal representation. Hard not to think this entire episode has drained their financial assets. If I wasn't a firm believer that 'when you lie with dogs, you get fleas' I'd almost feel sorry for them. He doesn't strike me as being the sharpest knife in the drawer, so I hope for his sake someone in Trump's camp isn't painting an unrealistic scenario for he and his wife. I think loves2read is correct, this isn't happening on its own.

Yes----she seems much smarter than George
But she has likely left it too late to make effective attempt to delay or change
He is going to court today
I imagine there are other counts they/DoJ could levy against him so taking on the DoJ seems something you wouldn't even try if you are appealing for a pro bono legal defense...
Avenatti might take that but not anyone w/o some ties to the deep conservative backers of GOP
