As special counsel Robert Mueller continues to investigate and indict people close to the president, Donald Trump has some strong opinions on cooperating with prosecutors: Flipping “almost ought to be outlawed,” he said in an interview with Fox & Friends’ Ainsley Earhardt, which aired Thursday morning.
Well, I admit, I never thought of that one. What’s one of the basic tenants of our judicial system, which is having criminal associates testify against their higher ups to prosecute bigger crimes, should now be illegal? Gee, I wonder why Trump would say that? Oh, right, all his criminal associates. I guess he just can’t help having stuff flip out of his pie hole.
Plea deals and the like are essential tools to help bring down criminal enterprises. It makes it harder for an organization or individual to commit widespread criminal acts with a ‘cast of characters’.
That’s how the mob got diminished.
No wonder Trump demands ‘loyalties’- it’s part and parcel to keeping the lid on things he never wants to see the light of day!
I think if you are lawyer there should be no possibility of a plea deal for testimony to go after the client you are supposed to be representing. Other than than that everyone else should be fair game.

cohen can't testify to anything he worked on with trump as legal counsel ( unless it was knowingly a crime ). most of the "fixer" work that cohen did was outside of the definition of legal counsel.
Mob talk. His comments, to me, sounded as if he thinks its should be against the law to work with our Justice Department. OUR Justice Department. You know the institution that preserves our nation’s most important asset: the rule of law! This from the man who swore an oath to protect the Constitution of the United States of America. He has a very selective and dangerous approach to law.
I accidentally voted yes, thinking the question was "should flipping be legal," not illegal. So the results should be 100% no.
