Trump is the anti-Obama. "Trump country" voted for Donald Trump as a giant "eff you" in response to the country electing a black president. Today in 2018, the United States of America is more black and brown, more gay, and more non-Christian than it has ever been in our history. And most Trump supporters can't stand it. So they voted for the racist, homophobic blowhard.
This pretty much sums it up and it's why Trump supporters are still so angry even though they completely dominate every aspect of politics today and are in essence the only people who currently matter. Also don't forget the gay marriage decision and the transgender bathroom debate. Those issues are very significant to Trump supporters.
It drives them crazy that they don't (yet) have the power to force everyone to submit to their authority and the cultural norms defined by them and punish all dissenters.
I mean, surely many Trump supporters have to know what’s right in front of their faces.
This man is a crook, and he needs to go sooner than later...for the sake of this country.
Trump supporters/voters made a mistake. When will they admit it?
I doubt it. Never, most likely.
“The facts of life do not penetrate to the sphere in which our beliefs are cherished; they did not engender those beliefs, and they are powerless to destroy them; they can inflict on them continual blows of contradiction and disproof without weakening them; and an avalanche of miseries and maladies succeeding one another without interruption in the bosom of a family will not make it lose faith in either the clemency of its God or the capacity of its physician.”
― Marcel Proust, Swann's Way
"Democracy and America are in trouble."
-- an understatement, me.

It's a good thing. How do you figure Trump has harmed it?
"Fake news." Ejecting reporters from meetings. If you are critical of Trump, he uses the power of his office to retaliate. I don't understand how you have missed this. It has been going on since day one of his administration.
I am a staunch conservative but never supported him because of his moral laxity. I would have prepared Cruz or Rubio. What I will never do is support a socialist, a far left loon or anything of that sort. Sadly the dems are now a party of left wing radicals. I may be forced to vote for Trump in 2020 to prevent left wing nutcases from grabbing power.
Agreed. Although I would have preferred Rand Paul and I did vote for him in the primary.
See, this is what the Left really just doesn't get......
The more unhinged they become, the more they coddle to their radical far left moonbat base, the more they increase Trump's chances of being reelected.

Being critical of the press does not constitute an attack on the first amendment.
If it did, then Obama would be guilty of it for criticizing Fox news as much as he did......up to and including the harassment and investigation of Fox reporter James Rosen.
Trump has gas lighted a lot of people, they are in the cult of Trump and can't see the truth he tells them not to believe.
Yeah there left knows all about that. Like that time their messiah told them that Benghazi was caused by a Youtube video. Or that time we were told how cheap we were all going to be able to get health insurance. Or how about that time when he said illegals would have to follow the same path legal immigrants had to follow. Yeah because Trump the Dump invented lying.
How do hardliners even look at themselves?
