But illegally had them on campus. That's the thing... Criminals don't obey laws. We could pass a kajillion gun control laws and it would make no difference whatsoever. Criminals are still going to commit gun crimes.
But, do you really think that the guy who got super frustrated because he lost a game at a VIDEO GAME TOURNAMENT is a hardened criminal who typically goes around ignoring laws?
No... this is EXACTLY the type of situation where a lack of easy access to guns and less people walking around carrying guns would prevent a shooting.
Instead of killing people in a mass shooting, this guy would have gotten mad and punched someone or something.
You are correct in that career criminals are not going to stop having guns but since most of us don't deal regularly with the mafia or drug cartels, I think the streets would be far safer with less handguns in circulation and more stringent background checks.
And, none of that would violate the 2nd amendment. It says we have the right to bear arms... it does not say what type or that we can bear them if we are mentally unstable or felons.

Do the Democrats really want to remind everyone that they are devoted to confiscating everyone's guns, 10 weeks before the midterm elections?
Do Republicans really want to remind everyone that they don't give a crap about people's dead family members because they love guns more than people 10 weeks before midterm elections?

When in doubt, check it out: FAQ
Getting the government to crack down on the black market
Enacting the same laws nationwide with stricter registration, mandatory national database like cars, no grandfather clauses, EVERYone has to register their weapons
Closing down all gun shops that dont do background checks on sales, or registrations
Disposal/destruction or exporting of any guns confiscated by ATF, including those redistributed to crime areas from law enforcement
Red flag/baker laws enforced for the nut jobs
Eliminate gun and ammunition purchases online, in person only
End legal immunity for gun manufacturers
If the sellers are too strict for criminals to get the guns, and everything is traceable, the crime doesnt happen. Law enforcement is trying to track the criminals with the guns, but theyre behind the ball, by then its too late. Stop the black market sales, the criminals cant get the guns.
All of this just to start help stop the illegal flow of guns across state lines to criminals, reduces the gun crime, yet the law abiding owners can keep theirs. Whats so bad about that?
Do Republicans really want to remind everyone that they don't give a crap about people's dead family members because they love guns more than people 10 weeks before midterm elections?
But of course the Republicans do care. They just realize that allowing people the ability to defend themselves is part of the demonstration of that concern.
You would leave them defenseless. This is cold gruel, which Americans are not going to enjoy being forced to eat by you and the rest of the Democrat ctrl-left.
But of course the Republicans do care. They just realize that allowing people the ability to defend themselves is part of the demonstration of that concern.
Yeah, more guns at a crowded event , where there is mass confusion, is a great solution... That would never lead to more people dying...
Yes when people kill people with guns -- they do so illegally....we get it.
That's the easy part to understand.
Law abiding citizens until they use their guns.
