I wonder if George Noory will cover this on Coast to Coast AM tonight. It's weird about other observatories being closed. A dangerous asteroid headed this way?

This is from the observatory's facebook page:

From their FaceBook page -

Sunspot Solar Observatory
Sunspot apologizes for the continued closure of the facilities. Listed below is the latest statement from AURA. As we receive new information we will share with you.

The Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy (AURA) is addressing a security issue at the National Solar Observatory facility at Sacramento Peak, New Mexico and has decided to temporarily vacate the facility as a precautionary measure. AURA, which manages Sacramento Peak with funding from NSF, is working with the proper authorities on this issue. We have no further comment at this time.

But why would someone want to break into an observatory? Just to use their telescope?

I hope Nibiru isn't real

OR, it could be a false flag op to blame McGinns by their arch rival....Two Rivers Pony Rides.

Gobs of talk over at Reddit and 4chan:Anyone that's been following the closure of the Solar Observatory in Sunspot, NM and was expecting it had to do with the sun may have been correct. Is the storm coming worse than they're telling us

Still no information coming out about the closure by the FBI of the Solar Observatory in Sunspot, NM. They not only closed the Observatory, but the Post Office as well. They also evacuated some houses. No one knows what's happened to the workers. Reddit User claims to know what happened.

/pol/ - /SOL/ DIDN'T GET V& EDITION - Politically Incorrect - 4chan

SpaceWeather is now down.

I probably should have posted this in the unexplained forum, but FBI involvement made me inclined to post here, Mods are welcomed to change it if you see fit.
