What we have today is far, far beyond anything we've seen in recent history. We have to go back to the Civil War to find this level of division and hate; and we saw where that kerfuffle ended.
The reason for this is that Democrats have lost power in all branches of government over the last 10 years. They are fighting tooth and nail to get it back, and this is their strategy.
Otherwise, nobody would care that Brett Kavanaugh may have had a few too many beers when he was in college.
If BK's alleged drinking habits are so important, wouldn't Fords alleged promiscuity be as well ? I really can't provide any links to this because much of Fords history just doesn't seem to appear on the web. Was it scrubbed prior to all this ? Surely someone as prestigious as Ford would have some sort of online presence from past lectures, op-ed's, feed back from students, etc. Not a lot is out there other than current info.

Judges of the Supreme Court must take two oaths before executing the duties of the office, the Constitutional Oath and the Judicial Oath.
The Judicial Oath text reads:
“I, _________, do solemnly swear or affirm that I will administer justice without respect to persons, and do equal right to the poor and to the rich, and that I will faithfully and impartially discharge and perform all the duties incumbent upon me as _________, according to the best of my abilities and understanding, agreeably to the constitution and laws of the United States. So help me God.”
Kavanaugh proved himself to be overly belligerent (even sober) at the hearing, and lacking in judicial temperament. Now we are finding out he also lied under oath in an attempt to prop up his choir boy fantasy he has told about his youth.
He's clearly unfit to be on the SCOTUS. The nomination must be withdrawn.

Y'all. Please. All this is, is a game. Who has the best moves. Who is the most ruthless. Who is thinking four or five steps ahead. It has nothing to do with truth, nothing to do with protecting real victims, nothing to do with honor, not on either side of the aisle.
Just like in Divorce Court - if you are honest and play nice, you lose!
So the Dems' timeline why BK is unfit for SCOTUS (ordered in timeline):
1. He's too much of a conservative/biased judge
2. He's a rapist
3. He's a rapist and a kidnapper
4. He's a drunk
5. He's not mentally fit to sit on the SCOTUS
So next week we'll have a kidnapping, mentally unstable, raping, drunk conservative Justice confirmed?
