I just wish this fiasco would come to a close. At this point I could give a sh*t less in which direction the ending goes. I am weary as to the current state of politics in the U.S. and will just go about my life while this crap continues to happen. Thing is after this is over, who knows what will be next?
Kavanaugh has to be confirmed if for no other reason than to show the dems that this kind of crap isn't going to work anymore.

Looks likely at this point that it was preplanned and somebody (several somebodies?) on that Senate Committee were in on it.
He wouldn't have voted this out of committee if he was in bed with the Dems. I do believe Coons and those loony ladies persuaded him. The final vote will be telling of his true intentions.
People don't seem to get that he's not on trial. This is the equivalent of a job interview. They likely don't care about his drinking back then, but they do care that he's dishonest about it.

It will explain all ...... this is a timeline of people interviewed and some of what the Senate Investigator have discovered - the FBI is re-interviewing all these people + all the people in the Letters submitted during the hearings.
The last thing Democrats want is for all this to be revealed.

I agree. This is a big turning point for the Rs and their constant giving in to the dem corruption and bullying.

Why would Ford’s ex boyfriend lie about this. He has no motive.
McClean and Ford have big motives to lie.....
