It is an absolutely appropriate comparison. The state of Mississippi murdered a 14-year old child because the woman accusing him was automatically assumed to be telling the truth and he was burdened with trying to prove he was innocent - and anyone who tried to provide him support faced peril of their own just for implying she might not be telling the truth. Sound familiar? Yeah, the stakes are less perilous but the dismal of the presumption of innocence is the same and the attacking of anyone disputing the accusser’s story are the same.
What terrifies me about all of this is that I keep thinking is that if an affluent, well connected, middle aged white man can be automatically considered guilty to unsubstantiated charges from decades ago what chance would my younger, black sons, grandsons, and nephews have?
Excellent point. I worry about that, too, regarding all minorities. The left is causing society to regress back to repeating horrendous miscarriages of justice. Why?
Senator Feinstein on the senate floor today lying her butt off again. She is the one that really should be hooked up to the skank-0-meter/polygraph and answer no less than 20 questions.
It's obvious why the FBI refused to interview Kavanaugh. Lying to the FBI is a crime, so...
1. If Kav repeats the lies he told in committee, he's guilty of a crime.
2. If Kav tells the FBI the truth, he'll contradict what he said in committee, and he'll lose the nomination.
Trump and Grassley rigged it to keep Kav out of the box.
This whole thing is beginning to read like a bad spy novel of the dime store type.
Former attorneys, associates and disgraced government officials (some LEO's tossed in as well) associated with the Democrat party are all backers, advisors or representatives of Balsey-Ford.
I Wonder how THAT happened? Just coincidence I guess.
Oh, no, the additional investigation did find out something of great value - an attempt to pressure her life-long friend to change her testimony was done by the former FBI agent Ford allegedly coached on how to pass a polygraph.
Interesting twist.
On another note, this explains why there was only one copy of the FBI report? Even then, portions of the report are still being leaked.
Crying Chuck is on the floor lying and lying and lying.
Yes he is....
