The president should always have the best protection available regardless of what the president is at the time. That seems pretty clear cut to me

In fact, I said much the same thing when this was first posted a few days ago.

A lot of Cadillac's are assembled in Canada and China. I wonder if tariffs jacked up the price.

TBF - all US Presidents have had such impressive security since the tragic events of the 1960's.

The Presidential motorcade is an impressive sight, and probably costs more than the $1.5M every time it takes to the road.

In the UK we have the Prime Ministerial Car, which is an armoured Jaguar and costs around £300,000 ($400,000)

Then we have the Queens two armoured Bentley which cost £10 million ($13 million) each.

That's because politicians are easily replaced, Monarchs are far more important.
