I think it’s funny getting upset over something so unimportant it’s overwhelming , everyone seems too be getting thier panties in a bunch over nothing. More worried about a sing that’s harmless then our country going down a sink hole before our very eyes.
Tell me where the sign touched you.
Of course you do. It shows that you have no empathy. It also shows that you are offended by others not finding it funny.
If you believe that I can't be worried about the direction of this country and that sign at the same time, you are the one with panties in a bunch.
I've seen a sign that says "Unattended children will be given a cup of coffee and a puppy", which is REALLY funny, IMHO.
Honestly, suburbanguy, how would you feel if you saw that sign and you were the descendants of slaves, bringing children into that store? It's not funny, is the thing. It's not a joke.
It's not funny if one is overly sensitive. The race card gets played too much. Slavery ended 150 years ago plus how far back does one get to go as far as a descendant being a slave? I'm sure if I could go back 500-1000 years ago I could find slaves in my family.

Selling out for money. You should run for office. lol
When given an option to not participate in things I don't like, I don't participate. You either believe in something or you don't.
It is similar to a sign I saw years ago at a bar in the keys. Roughly the same, Unattended children will be used as chum. Dark humor and I got a kick out of it at the time.

You would be wrong too assume that and I find it funny because it is, I don’t find it funny because others don’t people need to relax and stop trying too find ways be offended when something like a sign has no deep hidden meaning other then too bring a smile to someone’s face. The sign wasn’t meant too invoke images of slaverly no matter how much believe in other wise.
IMO, I find it interesting that in this country people are offended by things the rest of the world would get a laugh out of and move on. Not here though when an Inanimate object offends someone the problem isn’t with the said object but the people/people.
Slavery has always been part of human history. I searched my New Testament for hours looking for a condemnation of slavery. Jesus never condemned it.
Thank goodness, we have a more human view of the world today. But in my town, slavery is alive and well.
What do you want to call bringing in undocumented people, paying them less than minimum wage, putting them in corporate housing, and charging them huge amount for rent? Happens all over this country, all day every day. Get offended about that. Get offended about the sex slavery all over.
The fact that there are currently kids being sold as sex slaves should make the sign more offensive, not less offensive. I don't understand your reasoning here at all.
