RT just put out an article of why the CIA turned against the prince. The media as usually is lying saying this is about the press, human rights, etc. We know this is BS as the US has been helping Saudi Arabia kill thousands of people in Yemen and would not anything to stop it. So What is this all the attention about? They don't trust the Prince will remain loyal to western interest. He is "too independent".

China is now the number one consumer of oil, and the prince is getting close to Russia. They could stop selling oil for dollars and start accepting yuans or other currencies. The US wouldn't let that happen, if all those dollars aren't need outside the US they will just return and cause massive inflation. We'll just have to wait until he makes another bold move to see the reaction from the US.

Half or more of the country did not believe...WMD, Loan Gunman, Vietnam....rather , were discriminating regarding sources and purposes of disseminated information. Final revelations were not shocking by any means.

Half or more of the country did NOT believe the Saudi Prince did NOT have anything to do with the murder.
The fascination was with "how long until the attempted coverup dissolved ", and, " who would participate in the coverup"...

The WP will be covering the trial. It will be interesting to see the demonic role the crown prince and even the US mob family, Individual 1 and Kushner played in downplaying or covering it up.

Eleven people accused by Saudi Arabia of involvement in the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi attended their first court hearing Thursday in Riyadh, the Saudi capital, according to a statement by the country’s general prosecutor that was carried by the state-run Saudi Press Agency. They are seeking the death penalty.

Jamal Khashoggi was not a journalist. He was a Qatari/Turkish spy, working against his home country of Saudi Arabia, using the Washington Post, (a known CIA mouthpiece) as his vehicle.

His texts showed he was taking orders from the Qatar Foundation, on what topics to cover, how to cover them and often being told to be more aggressive and critical of Saudi Arabia. His intent, and likely the intent of the WaPo (a known CIA mouthpiece), was the shifting of US policy against Saudi Arabia and towards the Iran-Turkey-Qatar alliance. Looks like you bought it hook, line and sinker. Even the WaPo grudgingly admits this now that they read his texts.

"Among Khashoggi’s friends in the United States were individuals with real or imagined affiliations with the Islamist group the Muslim Brotherhood, and an Islamic advocacy organization, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, regarded warily for its support of the public uprisings of the Arab Spring. Khashoggi cultivated ties with senior officials in the Turkish government, also viewed with deep distrust by the rulers in Saudi Arabia.

Perhaps most problematic for Khashoggi were his connections to an organization funded by Saudi Arabia’s regional nemesis, Qatar. Text messages between Khashoggi and an executive at Qatar Foundation International show that the executive, Maggie Mitchell Salem, at times shaped the columns he submitted to The Washington Post, proposing topics, drafting material and prodding him to take a harder line against the Saudi government. Khashoggi also appears to have relied on a researcher and translator affiliated with the organization, which promotes Arabic-language education in the United States."
