I think its possible the news is boring now for a reason. I could watch it for hours now its just boring left Vs right bla bla bla they talk about nothing now over and over. Maybe they want people back to sleep.

Also, MSM uses tight shots of hurricane destruction from helicopters to make towns that have been blown away by hurricane look even worse.

We didn't have cable for a while after CNN came out. I remember watching a lot of "Headline News" in the late 80s and early 90s though. Thirty minute segments of news, weather and sports. Sometimes the last four of five minutes was entertainment news; sometimes it was from a local station. I miss that format now.

No, its just they're not allowed to talk about real issues like imperialist war crimes, corporate corruption, etc. so instead they hypnotize people in the dems vs repubs battle so no one asks questions.

They're state propagandists.
