How soon you forget. He offered asylum to 2 million illegals in exchange for the border wall, and Dems turned it down. So who is it really that is bigoted, heartless and hate-mongering. I know the rule of law means zero to you, except when you need it, but it means a heck of a lot to other American citizens.
Trump is telling them to apply to come into the US. They could have applied for asylum in Mexico, which is where they should have applied. We are the most generous, liberal nation in accepting LEGAL applications for immigrants. You know that though. We do agree on prosecuting employers who hire them.
But really, 4K, 7K 10K illegals who intend to storm our border, who are using women and children as human shields, like the gentlemen that they are, and ignore the sovereignty of our nation is "migration hysteria" to you and not that crucial? Are you learning for the first time today who funded them? Move them in with you then.
Even Fox News knows the bolded is false. Schumer and Graham presented a bill that did have citizenship for the Dreamers AND money for the border wall and TRUMP turned it down.
Obviously you need to spend more time watching Fox and Friends because even Steve Doocey called him out.

When one determines that the caravans are a significant problem, which they actually are not, one needs a comparison standard. Over stayers and conventional border crossers would seem suitable. Both would tend to indicate that the caravans are of low import.
They come as invited guests but at day 183 we strip them naked and cut off all services? Forbid them from buying anything?
And if it is the fault of our bureaucracy that they do not have their renewal when it should have been there?

The "detention centers" are not built yet and I expect they will be as large as they figure they need to handle any "asylum seekers" -- you are aware of the rules on Refugees who have already refused Asylum

I don’t think he put much thought into this or anything else, not questioning his authority. Many questions come up and few answers. His refugee ban is a perfect example.

Comprehensive immigration reform is simply amnesty. We don't need to prioritize capturing illegals deport them when they are found. They can be kept together in their homelands where they belong after being deported together. Having any illegal aliens here does not strengthen our economy.
The wall is a lie. Never was gonna be one, never will, and Mexico damn well ain't paying for it. There are better ways to secure the border using more modern technologies and enforcing laws that already exist.
Abolishing ICE is just a catch phrase for restructuring it, or as you put it, fixing the enforcement. No one is advocating doing away with immigration enforcement.
Sanctuary cities and amnesty programs are closely related and guess what? Some Republican senators are in favor of amnesty programs as well. Likewise, not all democrats favor sanctuary cities (I'm undecided myself.)
And none of that spells open borders. That kind of hysterical hyperbole is, well, just lying.
I guess we could start with sanctuary cities/states and which political party controls them? Obviously Democrats are not going to come right out and state that they are in favor of illegal immigration, they'd never win another election. Instead they use code word's such as we need "immigration reform". We don't need immigration reform.The laws are already in place. Either you've immigrated here legally which there is a process for, or you just told the Americans to go to hell we're coming across your border whether you like it or not? Democrat politicians have called for the abolishment of ICE.
Democrat politicians have called for amnesty for children who have been brought here illegally. But they never address what will become of the parents? Will they be able to stay too?
Some cities that are run by Democrats are allowing illegal invaders to vote. No big deal you might say except that today's school board member or city councilman could become tomorrow's congressman/woman, senator or even president.

You folk keep acting like there are real options to simply enforce the immigration laws.
In fact there is no such options available. We have two choices. We can continue as we are with a substantial underclass of illegals likely growing over time or we legalize the vast majority of the illegal aliens until we have an illegal alien population that our immigration system can manage.
To actually build an Immigration force capable of dealing with the present problem would mean an immigration force 4 or 5 times as large as we have and billions and billions in new spending. And thousands of lawyers to deal with the cases. As we get through the low fruit the illegals will resist using the courts likely with much support from their communities.
And once it gets going good the social upheaval hits. Could one live in Los Angeles or Las Vegas with the Hispanics in revolt?
And even if we batter through where do we end up? A collapsed economy. A huge bureaucracy with no remaining purpose. `And internal scars approaching the civil war in depth.
I would in fact opine it would never happen. We get five years into it, it begins to get uncomfortable and we would change regimes and shut it all down. Likely followed by the legalization of the remaining illegals.
So it would seem sensible to try and pull together one of the grand schemes. Legalize most with stringent provisions. Increase ICE substantially. Tighten employment. Maybe bite the bullet and go for a national ID card. Any eVerify that actually works well has to be there anyway. And inflict the cost of illegal aliens on the Feds so we can see the numbers. And the goal is no illegal alien can get by for more than a few months without being deported.
There are laws on what the military can and cannot do.
They understand these laws, so no amount of blood lust here or elsewhere will change anything at all.
But, you can see the difference between the people who use illegal immigration as an outlet for their hate, and those who wish to discuss the subject with facts and figures to try and come to some sort of solution.
Outlet for their hate? This issue has nothing to do with hatred. You're getting just as bad with your falsehoods and demonizations as some other posters in here now. What civility you had has left you. You're foaming at the mouth just like the rest of these other lefty liberals now.
No one wants any bloodshed and it won't be used unless absolutely necessary. Just what facts and figures are you lefties supposedly spouting? All I read are personal attacks against those of us who simply want our border protected from illegal entry and bogus asylum seekers. Shame on you. I thought you were better than that.
