Lets be honest. Russia involved itself in our elections, and it looks like they are doing so again. Their focus is to turn us against one another.

How should we address this to make them stop doing it? Because obviously talking is not working, nor are sanctions. And obviously it cannot be allowed to continue.

Majority think Russia will interfere in November midterm elections | WWWX-FM

and many more links. Our intelligence services tell us this is true, and despite president Trumps statements like this:
Quote:
He said his message to Putin warning against future interference was "very strong" during their meeting Monday.
"I let him know we can't have this. We're not going to have it. And that's the way it's going to be," Trump said.
Its clear now that Russia is thinking his comments are meaningless and can be safely ignored.

What should we do? Talking is not working.

It's a great question. But I haven't been able to come up with an answer yet.

One problem, unfortunately, is that Trump has alienated so many of our traditional allies. This would in theory be a good time for everyone to band together and try to freeze Russia out.

And his would be a good topic for the computer/Internet forum, too - trying to figure out what's even possible in terms of cyber-defense.

After all, the U.S. is still the only country to have ever dropped nuclear bombs on another country.

Nope--the opposite will happen. Russia will join with other countries and freeze us out. Our president doesn't know how to play chess (or possibly even checkers).

Who put that thought in Putin's head...say it...OBAMA!

Trump is eating putin's lunch.

Obama handed putin 20% of our uranium supply and permitted him to take it out of the country. putin was happy

Obama reneged on missiles promised to Poland to please putin. putin was happy

Obama defended putin in a debate. Putin was happy

Obama failed to act on his red line because Putin would have been annoyed. Putin was happy

Obama sent food and blankets to crimea while Putin send troops and armament. Obama was again afraid to displease his pal putin. putin was happy

Obama sat on his hands as putin messed with government databases. He did say kindly to putin, now you cut that out. Putin was happy

What was that careless whisper about on a hot mic when Obama said to tell putin he be more flexible after the election????????? Putin was drooling with pleasure.

Putin in cooperation with Obama shared a vision of a divided and weakened America. War planes needed to scavenge parts from museums, troop strength at pre WW2 level along with ships and carriers. Putin thanked Obama for doing his work for him.

Trump has squeezed putin economically on several fronts

Trump has promised to send the defensive missiles to Poland and build a US base there on Putin's doorstep. putin not happy

Trump arms crimea. putin not happy

Trump spurs the UN to raise billions owed. putin not happy

Trump spurs NATO to maximum strength much to putin's displeasure. putin not happy

Trump empties Russian embassies in the US putin not happy

Trump increases the pentagon budget bigly. Putin not happy.

Trump acts on cybersecurity while Obama kept putin's interference quiet until after the dems lost the 2016 election.

Trump is dealing quite well with Putin and Russia, sleep well, the community organizer and putin's kindred spirit is long gone.

I love how people in this country are so quick to ignore how Israel not only interferes in U.S. elections, but how AIPAC basically owns the U.S. government. Netan-yahoo spoke before Congress FFS; has Putin ever done that?

Oh, and it's fascinating how many U.S. government employees are dual U.S.-Israeli citizens.
