Coptic Christians once again being targeted by Islamic radicals in Egypt. Jihadists shot towards 3 buses carrying Coptic Christians and killed dozens of people on their way to a monastery today.
IS killed more than 40 people in twin church bombings in April 2017 and a month later shot dead almost 30 Christians in Minya province as they headed to a monastery on a bus.
In December 2017 an IS jihadist killed nine people in an attack on a church in a south Cairo suburb. Christian minority constantly gets attacked and killed!
Considering several Middle Eastern countries are Muslim-majorities, Christians and even Jews are often a favorite for terrorist attacks. That's quite the reverse in the U.S. as we a Christian-majority nation. How we go about addressing these attacks is where liberals and conservatives can find common ground.
Unfurtunately, there is an extreme strain in Sunni Islamism that makes them incredibly intolerant of dissenting religious practices. They most often target other Sunni sects or Shiites as apostates but also target Christians and other religious groups.
I was in Egypt back in 2017 when these terrorists carried out a shooting on a mosque while people were praying. They drove in on pickup trucks and shot up people worshipping peacefully. They're dogs, whom I suspect are encouraged by the current Egyptian president to keep the rightful elected leadership from power (not only is it an excuse for more martial law, but keeps people from wanting Morsi thinking he's responsible for this).
Let all the Christians in the Arab/Muslim world immigrate to this country, or put a sock in it. Really. This faux concern about Middle Eastern Christians drives me nuts.

Why should Middle Eastern Christians of many whom are native to those countries before Islam even existed and arrived should leave to avoid being persecuted?! So should all Jews then leave when there is any type of anti-Semitic incident just like that recent synagogue shooting?!
