I think what she did was despicable, but I also think that the people who have been over-hyping the #WalkAway "movement," particularly those shoving it at black people, pretty much offered her the opportunity on a silver platter. She parroted their narrative, and they fell for it, hook, line, and sinker.

If she had put on a red suit and made a YouTube video she could have booked a few gigs and charged speaking fees for the money. Show up and recite the usual talking points and they got what they paid for while you get the money. Then make a video later saying you were lying the whole time.
