And -- while we are still focussing on this -- we don't pay attention to the lies Trump told or the things he still doesn't understand.

Trump brought up tariffs as something positive he has done saying. "Billions of dollars will soon be pouring into our Treasury from taxes that China is paying for us."

It's true that billions of dollars in tariffs are being collected and sent to the US Treasury Department, but that money isn't being paid by China; it's being paid by US companies that import those foreign goods subject to tariffs.

It's a tax Americans are paying to the US government.

oops -- but you know what -- lost in his childish antics we aren't paying attention to the fact the President STILL doesn't understand international trade and tariffs.........

shaking my head.

What he did is no more illegal than someone stopping someone from taking a pen from their desk or something. Get over it snowflake.

As for Acosta, I don't necessarily agree with what he did, but Trump acting like a child is what caused it. It is what it is. You guys are fine with our president acting like a bratty child, but if a reporter tries to ask a question that he doesn't want to answer, "OH MY GOD! HOW DARE HE!". It's pathetic.

And just go on Twitter (for any of you who don't understand how the video was doctored) and take a look at the frame by frame videos or the ones that overlay the original vs the doctored video and see for yourselves. Or just remain ignorant on the issue, or claim it doesn't matter (making you look ignorant and hypocritical)... Whatever.
I'm not part of the 'you guys' and it doesn't sound like you watched the full version. Trump patiently answered several questions and when he called on someone else, Acosta just got louder. That's when Trump said, 'That's enough.' Then the intern moved in and Acosta wouldn't give her the mic, he just kept going.

I agree with the first part of your post but the second part is as false as 'he struck her!'

OMG, thank you for that! What a great moment in broadcast journalism history. Nixon never knew what hit him. LOL

Trump should take that to heart. If only he had one.

I hadn't thought of his relationship with the press that way, but you're absolutely correct. It's all about him and his fabulousness, not about communicating with the rest of the country.

Actually, that's what happens in press conferences. Other reporters don't think it's a big deal - usually we're all asking the same questions anyway.

So what delusional agenda are you pushing with this unsubstantiated statement?

You can't? I sure can.

Since you're cutting and pasting the same sentences over and over and over and over again, I'll do the same with a rebuttal:

How embarrassing for you that you can't tell: A) that the video has been altered; and B) that the intern reached across Acosta's body to take the mic from his right hand while he was gesturing with his left.

Now you're really reaching. Pretty ugly, don't you think?

Trump wouldn't know a fact if it introduced itself on the golf course - unless it was holding out a check with lots of zeroes.

The world of sheeple.

Audio is missing; if the audio were still intact, the alterations in the video would be even more obvious than they already are.

There is.

But there is no Santa Claus.

If only he understood that respect works both ways. Calling a reporter "nasty" and whining about how the press doesn't respect you? The man has absolutely no awareness.

What he also doesn't realize is that there are more of the press corps than there are of him, and that the press is one very fraternal group of people, even though the individual reporters and their employers are competitors. Kick one reporter out of the White House, and that reporter's employer will just send another one in. Kick one news organization out of the White House, and the other news organizations will feed information to the banned organization.

There's no way for Trump to win a war with the press.

^^^^ Post of the year, right there people.

And he was trying to ask a question on why the president considers it an invasion.

Remarks by President Trump in Press Conference After Midterm Elections
Quote:
Q Okay. Thank you, Mr. President. I wanted to challenge you on one of the statements that you made in the tail end of the campaign in the midterms, that this —

THE PRESIDENT: Here we go.

Q Well, if you don’t mind, Mr. President —

THE PRESIDENT: Let’s go. Let’s go. Come on.

Q That this caravan was an “invasion.” As you know, Mr. President —

THE PRESIDENT: I consider it to be an invasion.
Emphasis on trying since the president kept interrupting him

In a democracy, yeah, we get to challenge anyone - especially the people we elect and pay.

I don't see any difference in the side-by-side comparison posted by The Washington Post.

The power of suggestion though - wow. The people who want to see a difference will, of course.

He was forceful enough to make her body jerk and she stumbled a bit. She had to regain her footing.
