Are we not for abiding by the laws of the country?

Many who claim to favor 'law & order' forget to add they only believe we should abide by laws they like.

In this case, while the law may suck, I think it would suck far worse if we adopted a 'guilty until proven innocent' policy.

A quick summary:

The people here ranting that a law was broke are either lying, ignorant or both.

End thread.

I agree with this^. Even though we know he's guilty, he hasn't had his day in court and by law he still has the right to vote. And, apparently, when he is convicted and is spending his days in prison he can legally run for the Senate, much like the convicted murderer in MN had done, and he got votes, too.

The two different laws don't equate.
I say that and I'm not for changing the law that would deprive this accused killer of his vote.

Changing the law to prevent a small number of people charged with murder from voting is much different from changing the law on guns that effects everyone not charged with a crime at all.

This guy wouldn’t have been able to buy guns if the police and FBI had done their jobs. He could have had a record, and he posted on social media that he was going to be the next school shooter and people warned the FBI. This one had lots of red flags, just like the guy in California.

Agreed. I hope the animal fries for what he did. But until he is tried and convicted he is allowed to vote. It is the law. If you don't like a law, work to change it. Otherwise, stop whining. That goes for liberals. That goes for conservatives.

I think mass shootings and terrorist attacks, including attempted bombings, as well as sex crimes (specifically, crimes against kids), should be sped up in terms of it going the cases going tor trial. That is, they are among the worst crimes possible. Of course, the min. necessary evidence against the suspect would have to be ready before then.
