Puhleeeze. The Democrats have been bashing him since day one and haven't stopped bashing yet. You being a perfect example. And they won't ever accept him as president so there's no point in offering any kind of olive branch to them. He is the only Republican president that has the backbone to stand up to the Left and you guys are not used to it.

Is Trump Muslim? Isn't that the same schpeel as to why the right are so afraid of others?

I thought you folks condemned Obama for being divisive, yet here you are, championing for a POTUS that takes even the most of mundane opportunities to take a dig at fellow Americans. Funny.

Oh, you mean like how no compromise Mitch, and the GOP treated the prior administration? What a joke you folks are.

To correctly interpret his dog whistling is to also clearly understand why Trump is universally adored by racists. The same folks who continue to say otherwise also lack the ability to grasp that Trump's rallies are falsehood festivals where gullible goofballs get whipped into a frenzy.

He's the most bash-worthy occupant to ever degrade the office. It seems that his misguided defenders are getting more desperate and accusative about his many critics, the closer he approaches his inevitable downfall. Their pointless posts keep popping up, like so many poisonous toadstools. The "all" of our people includes everyone, regardless of their politics or social affiliations. Trump seems to be dedicated to dividing and diminishing us. Which goes directly against the primary principle of our country. Does E Pluribus Unum no longer define us?

You know Trump's a racist when two words he's never uttered or tweeted are Dylann Roof.

So you're saying that anyone who promotes improving our country for the better, is not a true American? You think that anyone who would shift power away from senile, old, conservative bigots, is an enemy who must be defeated?

You're really reaching, Pilgrim (no John Wayne pun intended)

Trump's speech, for once, contained nothing racist nor bigoted. At worst, it was a slight dig at Democrats any other Republican president might make. That dig is perfectly within acceptable limits of what a jab ought to be. I suppose some people just can't grasp the difference between a legitimate jab and outright demeaning of another's core personal value.

Interesting but irrelevant fact, given the thread title.

You can have your fashion judgement/tastes. They're of little consequence here, if at all.

What is significant is that you take a fun but ultimately trivial ceremony, and use it say in effect "the left thinks this is racist" when (for once) there's no evidence that Trump during this ceremony said nothing even arguably bigoted or otherwise cruel (a rare occasion!). That tells me more about your interpretation of what the left thinks than what the left actually does think about matters.

You're assuming that America (at least so-called "real Americans"*) is prefect the way it is. Problem here is that unless you think traditional Americans are as error-free as God Himself, you simply don't have a case. But if anything, history shows the opposite is often the case.

Fundamental changes traditional America needed to make, and in fact did make, to varying degrees of completion:
- Slavery: dead and gone. Traditionalist of that day opposed abolition.
- Stealing land from natives (not to mention near-genocide against them): thankfully a few natives did survive as coherent tribes. White America was definitely obtuse to its wrongfulness for over a century.
- Unsafe workplaces for industrial workers, and underpaying them besides.
- Sexism, Racism, Homophobia: most notably in denying women the right to vote, plus social attitudes inhibiting them from getting high-level jobs and leadership positions, equal pay for equal work. Right of inheritance. Most of this seems well on the way out, but stubborn pockets still remain.
- Traditional definitions of "manliness", shaming women for being too "bitchy" when men in the same situation are called strong and assertive; shaming men who are "unmanly" in some way or other that doesn't mesh with our ideas of what a man should be. IMO, the biggest core issue facing our society; with the possible exception of thinking that people who are "weak", "stupid", "timid", "strange", "incompetent", "socially clumsy" etc. deserve scorn simply for being those things alone (the very fact I listed all those testifies to how much work we still have to do in order to become a truly civilized, humane society).

* Those with a firm faith in convention, tradition, and definitions of "respect-worthy" or "contempt-worthy" person, and therefore doesn't need to change.

I said what I meant. How you want to twist it is up to you.
If making people a slave to the state while lowering the standard of living for the majority of the population is in your mind better, convince people that it is. Explain how raising taxes to 90% of peoples income is going to make things better. Go ahead, sell the idea that putting the government in charge is better than having a government that works for the people and its the better idea. Its all up hill but don't let that stop you.

Tell us how electing the lefts front runner Joe Biden and giving the gavel to Nancy for Speaker of the House is any different. Don't forget to explain how reelecting Crying Chuck Schumer to Senate Minority Leader is the new face of the party. Then we can all have a good laugh.
