He didn't do it on his own or in the words of democrats, he didn't build that. The US politicians sold out American workers to help Xi on the failed and insane theory they would become a more democratic and responsible world nation. You're forgetting (perhaps you were never taught) that Nixon persuaded the Chinese in 1972 to open their society to the West. That led to trade deals and more jobs for the Chinese citizens.
