Anita Hill was brave enough to torpedo her life to a certain extent to step forward about Clarence Thomas, and was treated so disgracefully. But by speaking up then she ended up helping us in the future now. It didn't happen at the time, she didn't succeed - but now, finally, no matter the outcome with Kavanaugh, at least people are listening.

Did you know that there are three senators now who where there with Hill, too? Grassley, Hatch, and Leahy. And, bizarrely, Grassley seems to have learned nothing in the intervening quarter-century. It's as though he's been encased in amber, unable to wake to the 21st century.

That hearing was a travesty, the republicans attacked her and the democratic response was weak to say the least. It was difficult to watch as she recounted details with her parents sitting in the first row. The bottom line was that Hatch dismissed her statements claiming that Thomas had a stellar career. Clarence Thomas behavior was no secret, loved porn and shared his views. So here we are again with Hatch and Grassley in their 80's getting set to dismiss another claim about their appointment.

Torpedoed her life? She's made millions off the Carence Thomas caper. As will Ford. She's got tenure in the bag.

I hope you realize that Anita Hill's biggest persecutor was none other than Joe Biden. He drug her reputation through the coals. He treated her very very disgracefully.

Remember it was Joe Biden who chaired the confirmation hearings. He was later forced to apoligise to her for it. Every bad thing that happened to Anita Hill is on his hands.

I suspect this topic will die now.

You would think being used and tossed, would be remembered for the next one day star to be discarded.

Anita Hill was a lying opportunist whose story had more holes than a stack of rat-bite-infested Swiss Cheese.

That describes a good many of the fossilized Republicans in the Senate, and ironically, that is exactly what their backwards looking voting base wants.

Biden has made it clear he believed Anita Hill and was regretful that he could not stop the attack questions. But his position is that Senate rules prevented him from shutting down Senators.
