Good, hopefully this time the petition will get enough signatures.

California residents are renewing a push to recall the state’s Democratic governor Gavin Newsom, and this year the effort has a noteworthy amount of momentum.

Recall organizers revealed that they have more than half of the signatures required for the measure to be placed on the ballot – with a few months remaining to collect the rest. Overall, the effort needs about 1.5 million people to sign on by mid-March, which would trigger a mid-year election.

Randy Economy, a senior adviser to the recall Gavin Newsom 2020 official campaign, told Fox News that the group had between 828,000 and 840,000 signatures as of Monday..

When we went and signed it a while back, the guy handling it had put up a sign that read, "Just because you sign this, does not mean you're for Trump." Apparently the Trump hate is so bad, he had to add that little disclaimer.

Yes, it is. Recently on the news, they reported Newsome's getting nervous re the traction of the recall efforts, so he has a group working on this. I hope he's ousted.

Sounds good, but I doubt that you'll find enough people with common sense in CA to vote the little tyrant out of office.

I go to a big church and as people walk to the parking lot they had put up a booth where everyone signed.
Only trouble is in this very Communist state the stupid people will put in someone just as bad.

Now the recall movement needs extra signatures just to be safe because (ready for this?) Gov. Gruesome wants signature verification.

Strange, since there is no signature verification when you vote.

Nah. Just a bunch of noise from whiny Trumpers who don’t even think COVID is real trying to keep Trump’s name relevant.

I can’t stand the guy and I didn’t vote for him, but at least he’s better than Abbot or DeSantis. I’d say most governors have done a poor job, mainly because Donald Trump deliberately downplayed it from the very beginning, and it’s been an ad-Hoc mess ever since.

Ironic, isn’t it?

I feel like my governor has done a good job, as do most people of the state. He has made stumbles here and there but mostly has struck the right balance. The one thing that gets him a lot of grace is that he has bent over backwards to be as transparent as he could from day one and he has not been a hypocrite. He has followed his own rules, which is maybe why they never been went full on draconian. No governor was going to do this prefect, it was brand territory, but some definitely did a far superior job to others, at least in the eyes of their people. Have you not noticed that you aren’t hearing screeches for the recall, investigation into, impeachment, and/or the tar and feathering of 50 different governors, just certain ones?
