I'm not saying he's JFK but other than his Presidency he:

Was the youngest fighter pilot in WWII.

Was shot down, much like Kennedy was sunk. They said it was a miracle they found him, a needle in a haystack.

Was the head of the CIA.

Was a Representative.

Was an Ambassador to the UN

Was Chairman of the RNC

It's not like he did nothing. When he became the President is when the wheels fell off that cart.

Afterward, his foundation has helped hundreds of vets. Redemption, somewhat.

This is disturbing, but I suppose it figures that it's a directive from Trump, clueless as always.

In actuality, Bush was probably a mediocre president - no historian seems to rank him even in the top third - but he now looks much better in comparison with Trump. We can see how Bush is being praised for his decency, his humility, his courtesy, his lifetime of service - all things that are totally lacking in Trump. But Trump may figure he can appease Republicans, especially because Trump may be facing Mueller soon.

But apart from the fact that the holiday hurts businesses, it's so totally clueless of someone to abruptly close post offices when there are certainly people all across the country waiting anxiously for checks in the mail, or something equally needed.

It is disturbing that any one links President Trump to this when it was done for every passing President since John F Kennedy, That is including President Nixon who resigned in infamy

GHW and McCain are responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people. Yet they get a day of "mourning."

Steve Jobs didn't get a day of mourning, and he did more positive things for this country than every single President in American history combined.

Politicians don't deserve to be mourned. The only people that should be mourned are those who actually contributed positively to mankind.

Daddy Bush came to the rescue of all those incubator babies in Kuwait. Isn't that positive?

What a noble thing it was to kill at least 125K Iraqi children from war and subsequent sanctions to save those fictional babies, don't cha think?

Guess you should have gotten a job that had paid holidays.
I’m not complaining, that was part of the collective bargaining agreement.
