NYT could not find a match on any data base. Obviously, eVerify was not being used.

Why does Trump Org hire people who do not speak English? That in itself would be a tip off.
Given NYT saw her historical pay stubs I wish they would have published her wage, over the years.
Of course, no one would expect Trump to personally vett employees via eVerify. Given his very public remarks about illegal immigrants, one would think Trump Org would have made absolutely certain every single employee was legal to avoid embarrassing him.
Then again, Trump Org has a long history of using H2 b visas to legally hire foreign workers instead of hiring citizens. Palm Beach County ( Maralago) has made clear there are hundreds of people in the county who need jobs like the ones at Trump properties.
The woman who disclosed to the NYT ( via an interpreter, given her lack of English) does not live in the vicinity of the golf club and car pools with others.
Trump Org obviously chooses to not pay a locally competitive wage.
Have they forbidden the use of it? If not, then don't blame the liberals because the club made a choice not to use it.
The bottom line is, Trump needs to clean up his own house before he goes after everyone else.
I do agree with you there. He needs to set an example and implement e-verify in all his enterprises. Of course then he will be called a racist and be bombarded with lawsuits. But again thats par for course with him.

With that many employees I would imagine it almost impossible to guarantee everyone is and stays decent and honest.
I was talking with my nephew about the troops sent to the US/Mexican border and he said one from Fort Bragg where he is stationed got caught helping the invaders cross the border. One would think the US military would have made absolutely certain every soldier was loyal to this country to avoid embarrassment.

Its not illegal to use H2 b visa workers. The program is designed to provide seasonal nonagricultural workers. I'm pretty sure there are hundreds of people in Palm Beach County that can maintain a home/family on seasonal work in Palm Beach County.

They pay 13, started at 10 which was higher than the 8.25 she made at a hotel and the minimum wage in NJ.
Congress has yet to pass any legislation requiring business to check out new hires more thoroughly. Maybe e-verify did return a no match but the two crooked supervisors looked the other way.
