Smart? Using D-Day as an example of our long standing friendship with Germany? Geezus, most 4th graders know better than that.

Another unqualified, brown-nosing Trumpster. She will be gone in a few months too. Trump will never learn.

She's was the Spokesperson for the State Dept since April, 2017, then became the Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy since March, 2018. She was with ABC News prior to Fox, and also a public affairs consultant. She has a Master's Degree from Columbia University. Seems qualified to me.

She was never press secretary and more importantly has zero foreign affairs experience. What was her degree in from Columbia. There were plenty of better choices.

Pretty tv celebrity...nice gig for her.

Hayley has to be insulted. She thought she got that job because of her experience, her leadership....then he gives it to a journalist major -- lol.

Trump doesn't think the job is anything but a 'figure head' -- and he just proved it.

I will say -- she probably knows more than Trump about foreign diplomacy

I don't know anything about her so I can't pass judgement at this time, however, isn't it possible that she just misspoke? Happens to people all the time! Remember 57 states? Wouldn't most 4th graders know how many states there are?

Sec. of State Mike Pompeo recommended her since they've worked together. She evidently doesn't take crap from anyone. Nikki Haley was ballsy so that's what is needed in that position.

Being a Fox News host does not qualify one to be regarded as a journalist. Just when you thought you'd seen Trump at his worst, he dips even lower, once again. There's no other way to interpret this, he's throwing the one-finger salute to the whole country and to the entire world. What's next? Will he nominate Rupert Murdoch for some high position? The two of them both occupy the same bottom rung in society.
